World Watch List is an annual global ranking produced by Open Doors UK & Ireland that identifies the 50 countries where Christians face the most extreme persecution. The list tracks how hostility towards people for their faith affects believers worldwide – from discrimination and pressure, to violence and loss of life.

Open Doors publishes detailed country-profiles, prayer guides, maps, and resources to help churches and individuals pray, speak out and support persecuted Christians. The 2025 list reports more than 380 million Christians living under “very high” to “extreme” levels of persecution.
