Overview
International CEO of Sat-7 UK, Rita El-Mounayer is an internationally respected Christian media leader, also serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Sat-7, a pioneering satellite television ministry broadcasting the Gospel across the Middle East and North Africa. With a deep commitment to sharing the message of Christ in regions where Christian media access can be limited, she has played a significant role in strengthening indigenous Christian voices through culturally sensitive and locally produced programming.
Born in Lebanon, Rita trained as an engineer before responding to God’s call into media ministry. She joined SAT-7 in its early years and has been instrumental in its growth into a trusted broadcaster reaching millions of viewers in Arabic, Farsi and Turkish. Under her leadership, SAT-7 continues to provide hope, discipleship and encouragement to believers, while also presenting the Christian faith to wider audiences in challenging contexts.
Rita is widely recognised for her thoughtful advocacy on issues of religious freedom, media representation and the role of faith in public life. She has spoken at international forums, including the European Parliament and the United Nations, offering insight into the realities facing Christians in the Middle East and the transformative power of Christian media. Her leadership reflects a Christ-centred vision of communication that seeks to serve the Church and society with truth, compassion and integrity.
As a speaker at the CBC Revive 2026 Conference, Rita El-Mounayer brings a global perspective on how media can faithfully communicate the Gospel across cultures and contexts. Her experience resonates with the mission of CBC UK to bring believers together and promote the Christian message through modern media, reflecting the truth that the light of Christ “shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5, paraphrased).
