Dr Nathan Mladin

Dr Nathan Mladin is a Christian ethicist and researcher whose work explores the moral and theological dimensions of technology, artificial intelligence and digital culture. He serves as Senior Researcher at Theos, the UK’s leading religion and society think tank, where he contributes to research at the intersection of faith, ethics and public policy.

Nathan is also an Associate of the UK’s AI, Faith and Civil Society Commission, engaging with national and international conversations about the responsible and humane use of emerging technologies. His research examines how Christian thought can help society navigate questions of dignity, identity and integrity in an increasingly digital world.

He is the author of several publications, including AI and the Afterlife: From Digital Mourning to Mind Uploading and Data and Dignity: Why Privacy Matters in the Digital Age. His theological and ethical reflections provide valuable insight for media practitioners, policymakers and church leaders alike.

Recently, Mladin gave a talk titled “Navigating Integrity in an Evolving Space,” Dr Mladin explored how Christians can approach rapid technological change with discernment, grace and moral clarity—upholding truth and human value in a digital age.
