Alive in the Spirit – Where Mission and Media Meet
Alive in the Spirit is a UK charity founded in 1978 that supports Christian media ministries in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ across the world. Declared a charitable trust on 15 December 1978, it helps ministries grow in mission and sustainability, with a heart to reach “thousands – no millions to Christ”. Guided by Galatians 5:25, the charity encourages Spirit-led, cheerful and discerning giving in support of Gospel outreach. Ministries it has supported include Cross Rhythms, Cross Rhythms Plymouth, Radio Hayah, X Rhythms, the Christian Broadcasting Council of the United Kingdom (CBC), Lifelines and GOD TV.
The current Chairman of the Trust is Chris Cole, who joined as a trustee in the 1990s. With more than 40 years in media, Chris has been a pioneer in Christian radio and television, founding Cross Rhythms with his wife Kerry and serving with GOD TV and other Christian trusts. Trustee Richard Anson has also served in Christian media for nearly three decades and is committed to helping ministries flourish through partnership, stewardship and Spirit-led communication.
