Overview

Nicky Gumbel is one of the UK’s best loved Christian leaders who is a prominent speaker, author and media influencer. He led England’s largest Anglican Church for 46 years and moved into itinerant ministry in 2022.

Nicky is probably best known as the pioneer of the Alpha Course, the globally acclaimed Christian evangelism programme. His Bible in One Year reading plans are also highly popular on the YouVersion Bible App.

Nicky studied law at Cambridge before undergoing a spiritual transformation. Ordained as an Anglican priest, he became the Vicar of Holy Trinity Brompton in London, where he transformed Alpha into an influential tool for introducing people to Christianity.
