Roger Bolton

Roger Bolton is one of the United Kingdom’s most respected broadcasters and journalists, with a distinguished career spanning more than five decades across television, radio and public service broadcasting. He is widely recognised for his commitment to high-quality journalism, public accountability and informed debate, having worked extensively with both the BBC and independent production companies.

Throughout his career, Roger has produced and presented some of the UK’s most influential current affairs and discussion programmes. He is particularly known for his work on BBC Radio 4, including Feedback, where he championed audience engagement and transparency in broadcasting. His reputation for thoughtful interviewing and balanced journalism has earned him widespread respect across the media industry.

Alongside his broadcasting work, Roger spoke at REVIVE CBC UK (the Christian Broadcasting Council of the United Kingdom), where he brought insight and significant expertise into the relationship between faith and media. He is passionate about encouraging greater religious literacy within journalism and broadcasting, believing that Christianity continues to play a vital role in understanding British culture, history and society.

Roger is also the creator and presenter of Beeb Watch, a platform that examines developments in public service broadcasting and media policy. Through articles, interviews and commentary, he continues to contribute to important conversations about the future of media, ethics and freedom of expression.

At CBC Revive 2026, Roger will contribute to discussions exploring Christianity’s place in public broadcasting and the need for greater understanding of faith within mainstream media. His extensive experience, combined with his commitment to ensuring that Christian perspectives are fairly represented in public discourse, makes him a valuable voice in conversations about the future of faith and media in the United Kingdom.

Roger’s involvement reflects CBC UK’s mission of bringing believers together to fulfil the Great Commission through media, encouraging Christian communicators to engage confidently and professionally within an increasingly complex communications landscape.
